Charles River Realty Investors, LLC was formed in 2006 by Brian Kavoogian and National Development to make value-added real estate investments on behalf of its institutional clients through a series of discretionary commingled funds. The firm is currently investing the $170 million Charles River Realty Fund I, L.P.
On behalf of its institutional clients, Charles River seeks a range of investments involving well-located commercial real estate in which, through the investment of capital and employing of our operating expertise, property income can be increased through re-leasing, repositioning, or redevelopment, thereby creating value. We invest throughout the Northeast, with a particular focus on the Boston metropolitan area. In addition to making direct equity investments which will be operated by National Development, we provide capital in the form of joint venture equity, preferred equity or debt to third-party owners. We invest in all major property types, including office, industrial, retail and housing, as well as healthcare-related properties (senior housing, medical office, research lab) and hospitality.
Charles River Realty Fund I, L.P. is a $170 million fully discretionary closed-end, commingled fund. Our investors include major institutions, family offices and high net worth individuals.
Charles River Realty Fund II, L.P. is a $250 million fully discretionary closed-end, commingled fund that is currently in formation.
